Northern Indiana REACT C100 is looking for CBers to help continue the original mission of REACT--the monitoring for distress calls on CB Channel 9 !
You might ask...is CB channel 9 still being used for emergencies? One word...YES!
The only individuals who have CB Radios still actively monitoring this channel are only a handful of Indiana State Police (from the local Toll Road State Police Post-December 2007). That's it! No City Cops...No County Cops! That is why we are still needing CBers to help participate in Northern Indiana REACT!
All that is needed is a little of your time. At least 24 hours of monitoring a month is all we ask. You may help save a life and pass along vital information to Emergency Personnel such as Police, Fire, or Ambulance. It may be you who helps save a life.
ALSO, there are more highways being built in the Michiana Area--especially US #31. That will have people with CB's driving through.
So, if you are interested...please contact us or come to one of our monthly team meetings.
